This 1985 Yamaha XJ700 Maxim X custom with it’s powerful 5-valve Genesis engine has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life.

We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

As you can see this bike looks to be complete.

It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres & seat cover are perished, carburettors are stuck.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.

This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures.

The wheels look straight and clean with good hubs & brake plate, disc, caliper & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome & clean alloy.

Mudguards are both solid.

Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.

Instruments & switches look good but speedo base is marked.

Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside.

Exhausts are original & solid.

Shock absorbers are damping fine.

The engine is cosmetically clean.

We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
